When to Use Share Links
- You want someone to view a scorecard without downloading a file
- Multiple people need access and you don’t want to manage separate PDF copies
- You want to control access with expiration dates or revoke the link later
- You need to share quickly during a live hiring discussion
Creating a Share Link
Open the scorecard
Navigate to the scorecard you want to share, either from your library or directly after generation in chat.
Open the Share dialog
Click the Share button on the scorecard. This opens the share dialog where you can configure the link.
Set expiration
Choose how long the link stays active:
- 7 days — for time-sensitive roles or quick reviews
- 30 days — the default, good for most hiring cycles
- 90 days — for longer searches
- Never — the link stays active until you revoke it
Toggle PDF export (optional)
Enable Allow PDF Export if you want recipients to be able to download a PDF copy directly from the share page.
What Recipients See
Anyone who opens a share link sees a clean, read-only view of the scorecard containing:- Role and company — job title, company name, and interview type
- EEOC compliance notes — guidance for fair and legal interviewing
- Competencies — each competency with its importance weight and selection rationale
- Interview questions — primary questions with follow-up probes and assessment direction
- Rating rubrics — behavioral anchors for Strong Hire, Hire, No Hire, and Strong No Hire
- Red flags — warning signs to watch for during candidate responses
Recipients do not need a Waffle account. The share page is fully public to anyone with the link.
Managing Active Links
You can create multiple share links for the same scorecard, each with different settings. The Share dialog shows all active links with their status, expiration, and whether PDF export is enabled. To revoke a link, click the trash icon next to it in the Active Links list. Revoked links immediately return a “Link Not Found” message to anyone who tries to open them.Expiration and Security
Share links use a unique 12-character token in the URL. There is no way to guess or enumerate valid tokens. When a link expires, visitors see a “Link Expired” message with the original creation date. Expired links cannot be reactivated — create a new link if you need to share again.Share Links vs. PDF Export
